The new facility replaced the older single-bay station and provides more than double the internal space of the previous building. It also includes important operational improvements, such as a dedicated radio room and separation of personal protective clothing, which support safer and more practical use by local volunteers.

The problem

Southport Fire Station needed electrical and communications infrastructure suited to a modern emergency services building. The team also completed the installation of a new distribution board and switchboard, along with submain cabling to support the building’s electrical supply and future functionality.

The communications scope included Cat6a data cabling, fibre-optic cabling, data rack installation, and WAP installation for WiFi connectivity. These systems help provide the cabling and network infrastructure needed for a modern emergency services facility.

Additional works included CCTV installation, dry fire services and protection, and electrical works for split system air conditioning units.
